About Polybee
We're building the future of production.
Agriculture's most consequential decisions are made with the least information.
For ten thousand years, farmers knew their crops by walking them, watching them, trusting instinct. For most of human history that intimate knowledge was sufficient. It is no longer sufficient.
Fresh produce is a $1.2 trillion global market and the fastest-growing segment in agriculture, yet it remains stubbornly, almost absurdly, unpredictable. Growers operate with virtually no visibility into the state of their crops at the individual plant level. They cannot track ripening across thousands of plants with the precision needed to time harvest. They cannot detect nutritional deficiencies or disease pressure before those stressors manifest as missing tonnes at harvest. They cannot forecast with meaningful precision when a particular section of their field will reach peak quality.
The pattern repeats across crops and continents: consequential decisions made without adequate information, margins eroded by mistimed harvests, profits left unrealised because farmers simply cannot see what is happening to their plants. Industry surveys indicate that fresh produce companies leave up to 40% of their potential profits unrealised. As farms scale and climate volatility compounds the uncertainty, the gap between what growers could achieve and what they actually capture continues to widen.
A central nervous system for the modern farm.
Polybee is building a physical AI agent that transforms unpredictable farms into data-driven operations. Fleets of fully autonomous, self-recharging drones navigate fields and greenhouses without human intervention, capturing high-resolution imagery of every plant they encounter. That imagery flows through our proprietary 3D computer vision pipeline — trained on millions of data points spanning hundreds of crop varieties — to measure individual plants at millimetre precision.
Specialised AI models translate those measurements into actionable intelligence: forecasts of when to harvest for optimal yield, identification of stress before it is visible to the human eye, and projections of how crops will develop over the coming days. Beyond sensing, the same drone fleet performs precision pollination using our patent-pending aerodynamic method — giving growers direct control over fruit set regardless of season, weather, or pollinator availability.
The result is something the fresh produce industry has never had: visibility into the state of every plant, and the ability to act on it at scale — in a single integrated platform.
Produce will be abundant if it's predictable and profitable.
The fresh produce industry feeds billions, yet the businesses that grow that produce operate under extraordinary uncertainty. A grower's profitability in any given season hinges on variables they can barely observe, let alone control. When those variables go wrong repeatedly, the business becomes unsustainable.
Breaking that cycle requires making produce businesses fundamentally more predictable — and predictability can only be built on a foundation of profitability. A grower who can see the state of every plant, forecast yields with precision, detect problems before they become losses, and control pollination independent of natural conditions operates a categorically different business. That grower can plan, invest, innovate.
The path to abundance runs directly through the profitability of the people who grow our food. When enough growers reach that threshold, the industry begins to compound: better technology attracts better capital, better capital funds better infrastructure, better infrastructure produces more food at lower cost with less waste.
Our values that serve as our guiding light.
Curiosity
We stay curious and keep asking until the details show themselves.
Humility
We hold our opinions loosely and work to get closer to the truth.
Rigor
We think deeply, then act decisively.
Ownership
We act on what we see, treating every part of the company as our own.
Ambition
Every farm should operate with visibility and control — the scale can be daunting, but it energises us.
Urgency
We move fast. The change agriculture needs cannot wait.
